On Maple Weekend, we will be serving pancakes all morning at our Klondike breakfast. During this weekend, you can watch and learn about the process of making maple syrup. The camp trails will be open for hiking to see the sap collection points. A small market will be available where vendors will sell kettle corn, honey, maple syrup, and freeze-dried candy.
Camp Cullom started in 1941 as a Girl Scout Camp due largely to the generosity of the George C. Cullom family. In 1947, the Girl Scouts invited the Boy Scouts to join them in operating the camp. The result was a trust agreement transferring ownership and management of Camp George C. Cullom and forming the Clinton County Foundation for Youth in June of 1947.
The mission of the foundation is to promote the physical, mental, and moral well-being of the young people of Clinton County through the maintenance and operation of a camp for Clinton County Youth.
The goal is that our stewardship of this land increases the education, enjoyment, and appreciation of our natural world by all who come here.
Started in February of 2024, Atchley Farm offered assistance to the camp by creating youth learning experiences. The Atchley family collects sap from around the 50-acre property. Bring your family to explore the wonders of maple syrup.
